The mouth is a breeding ground for bacteria, which means there is high risk of infection when getting the lip blush procedure done. These are things you Must avoid for the best healed results:

  • Avoid eating & drinking for at least 3-5 hours after your appointment.
  • It is important to keep the lips as clean as possible to prevent the chance of infection and promote healthy healing.
  • Refrain from smoking for the first 72 hours.
  • For the first 4 days, drink with a straw and eat using a fork.
  • Avoid getting the lip area wet. When taking a shower, try to keep water off your lips as much as possible. If soapy water enters the pigmented area, gently blot the area to dry.
  • Do not pick, peel, rub or scratch your lips, this may cause scarring and or removal of the pigment.
  • No cleansers, creams, or makeup in or around the lip area.
  • No saunas, hot tubs, long steamy water or swimming.
  • Use a clean pillowcase and sleep on your back if possible, especially the first two nights.
  • Avoid sweaty workouts for the first 7 days. Any perspiration within the first 7 days of the healing process could result in loss of pigment.
  • Avoid spicy foods and colored drinks.
  • No kissing

It depends. I would have to see your old tattoo first, to assess if it is fixable. And before I move forward with any appointments, I will need to see photos of your lip blush tattoo for evaluation. Please email me your photos to:  info@jennyscosmeticacademy.com

Before your first session, your artist may do a patch test on your skin to make sure you’re not allergic to the pigment ink.

You’ll start by discussing the desired shape and color of your cheek blush with your artist. She’ll then draw out the desired shape and choosing the right blush shade of your skin tone. Once you agree to the shape and color, your technician will apply numbing cream to the area being worked on. She’ll then use the needles and pigment to shade over your cheekbones gently to create a natural sun- kissed or rosy pink to your cheeks.

After the initial session, you’ll return for a follow-up session in about 4-6 weeks at which the artist will perfect the look. She might add some colour or tweak the shape of your blush. This is known as the touch-up to perfect the session.
