Add a playful, sun-kissed charm to your complexion with semi-permanent freckle tattoos. Custom-designed to suit your unique style, these faux freckles offer a natural, youthful glow that lasts.

What Is A Freckle Tattoo?

Freckle tattoos are a semi-permanent cosmetic treatment that mimic the look of natural freckles across the cheeks, nose, or anywhere you want a soft, sun-kissed finish. Pigment is deposited into the skin in tiny, precise points, creating a playful yet realistic effect that lasts.

Clients can choose from a subtle dusting of freckles or something more unique, like our “AstroFrecks”—custom designs mapped to resemble your zodiac constellation. These freckle placements offer a creative twist while still maintaining a soft, natural look.

Whether you are enhancing existing freckles or creating a fresh aesthetic from scratch, this treatment offers long-lasting results with no daily makeup or skin exposure required.

Questions About Cheek Blush?

If you’re considering getting a service done or have already scheduled an appointment, it’s essential to know what to expect after the procedure. I will walk you through everything you need to know about the recovery process, the do’s and don’ts, potential side effects, and much more.

The freckle tattoo is a 2-session treatment. The first session does most of the work, but a touch up 4-6 weeks later is highly recommended.

As your skin heals from the initial session, a certain amount of pigment is extracted and the freckles lighten 30-40%. The touch- up is there to add more pigment or darken them up if needed to ensure the results last longer

  • No sunbathing or tanning for 2 weeks. Tanned skin is more sensitive
  • Stop using any retinol or Vitamin A products one month prior. These thin out the skin and make it bleed more
  • No Botox or filler for a month prior your appointment
  • No alcohol, ibuprofen, aspirin and fish oil supplements for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment
  • No intense facial treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasions and micro needling ect. This will cause skin cell to rejuvenate faster resulting in skin irritation. Please schedule these treatments 2-3 weeks before your session
  • No blood thinners 3-4 days prior to your session
  • No alcohol or caffeine on the day of the procedure

Before your first session, your artist may do a patch test on your skin to make sure you’re not allergic to the pigment ink.

You’ll start by discussing freckle style, placement and colour with your artist. Then she will pre draw freckles before tattooing them on. Once you approve, your technician will gently open the skin with a machine to create tiny dots to create a sun-kissed natural looking freckles. But it’s important to note that they shouldn’t be perfectly round – they should look natural, and therefore, asymmetry and imperfection are desirable. The pigments are deposited close to the surface of the skin, so they can look quite natural if done right.

After the initial session, you’ll return for a follow-up session in about 4-6 weeks at which the artist will perfect the look. She might add in some freckles and readjust colour. This is known as the touch-up to perfect the session.

It takes about 4 weeks for faux/ constellation freckle tattoo to heal. Initially, your freckle tattoo color will be darker than expected. You may also have some redness or skin irritation. The color will lighten as your tattooed freckles heal and new skin develops over the area. It will take 3 to 4 weeks for your freckles to heal to see final results.

  • Redness subsides
  • Your freckles will appear darker due to scab forming over the brows

  • After the procedure, keep your tattooed freckles clean and dry and then apply aftercare ointment provided by your nanoblading artist.

Typically faux/ constellation freckle tattoo take two sessions to achieve a perfect result. The client has to wait between 4-6 weeks between each session.

Since faux freckle/ constellation freckle tattoo pigments and technique are not implanted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, your freckle tattoo will naturally fade over time. results can last anywhere between 10-18 months depending on skin type, lifestyle, your age and how often you get touch-ups.

Your skincare routine will also have an effect on the longevity of the pigment. Clients who use chemical peels, products with AHA or Glycolic Acid will fade faster as your skin will resurface faster.

Most clients say little or no pain. If you have highly sensitive skin, a strong topical anesthetic during the procedure to keep you comfortable.

During your 2nd session, I will go over the faded freckles that I had applied during your 1st session to deposit more ink to extend the longevity. Additional freckles and colour may also be added if you want wish.

For all PMU procedures, it will take 2 sessions to complete your desired brows to ensure longevity. Just like when you apply nail polish, you need least 2-3 coats to achieve a solid color.

You can book your 2nd session 4 to 6 weeks after your 1st session.

Please note: If you decide to come back for a second session after 12 weeks of your initial session, this could result in faded freckles which may result in additional charges due to extra work that may be needed. It is highly recommended to schedule your 2nd session appointment within 2 months to avoid extra charges.

After my 2nd Session, When Will I Need Another Touch up?

If you want to keep your sun-kissed tattooed freckles maintained, it is recommended to get a touch up every 12-15 months from your last session.

If you wish not get a touch-up, your freckles will last up to a year and they will eventually fade away. Longevity will vary per lifestyle, skin type and age. PMU freckle touch-ups are like getting your nail touch-ups, if you go when your tattooed freckles first starts fading, you simply have the color filled in. But if you wait longer than your artist recommends, you may need to start the whole a PMU freckle procedure again.
