Ombré Brows Treatment in Edmonton

Enhance your brows with soft, pixel-perfect shading. Our ombré technique creates balanced definition and smooth gradient colour that holds its shape.

What Are Ombré Brows?

Ombré brows are a semi-permanent brow shading treatment designed to give the appearance of softly filled-in eyebrows. Using a fine machine and layered pigment, the colour gradually builds from light at the front to deeper through the tail—creating a smooth, powdered look without harsh lines.

Unlike microblading, which mimics hair strokes, this technique focuses on diffused colour and shape. It is ideal for clients who want fuller brows that stay defined, symmetrical, and polished with minimal effort.

The result? Brows that look clean and consistent from every angle—no smudging, no sharp edges, and no need to fill them in each morning.

Why Clients Choose Ombré Brows

Ombré brows offer a clean, structured finish that lasts far beyond the daily brow pencil. The technique suits a wide range of skin types and face shapes, delivering balance, symmetry, and long-wear definition that holds up through every season.

Soft Gradient Finish

The buildable pigment fades from light to dark, giving the brows depth without looking overdrawn or heavy.

Brow Shape That Stays Put

Once healed, ombré brows maintain their form for months—no fading tails, no uneven arches.

Ideal for Oily or Mature Skin

Where microblading may blur or fade quickly, ombré shading stays crisp and consistent on skin types that need more stability.

FAQ

Questions About The Ombré Brows Treatment?

If you’re considering getting a service done or have already scheduled an appointment, it’s essential to know what to expect after the procedure. I will walk you through everything you need to know about the recovery process, the do’s and don’ts, potential side effects, and much more.

Ombre is a two-step process: the initial procedure and a follow-up to perfect the session. You will schedule two sessions with your artist. Your consultation with the artist usually takes place during the first session.

  • No Botox or any fillers at least 4 weeks prior (can disturb the shape)
  • No intense facial treatments such as chemical peels, microdermabrasions and micro needling ect. This will cause skin cell to rejuvenate faster resulting in skin irritation. Please schedule these treatments 2-3 weeks before your session.
  • No tanning (bed or natural sun exposure)
  • No Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E and Ibuprofen
  • No alcohol or caffeine on the day of the procedure
  • No blood thinners 3-4 days prior to procedure

Before your first session, your artist may do a patch test on your skin to make sure you’re not allergic to the pigment ink.

You’ll start by discussing the desired shape and color of your eyebrows with your artist. She’ll then draw out the desired shape, removing excess hair and making adjustments for symmetry. Once you agree to the shape and color, your technician will apply numbing cream to the area being worked on. She’ll then use the needle and pigment to create the shape and fill in your brows.

After the initial session, you’ll return for a follow-up session in about 4-6 weeks at which the artist will perfect the look. She might add additional colour or tweak the shape of your brows. This is known as the touch-up to perfect the session.

It takes about 4 weeks for ombre brows to heal. Initially, your brow color will be darker than expected. You may also have some  swelling, discomfort and redness. The color will lighten as your eyebrows heal and new skin develops over the area. It will take 3 to 4 weeks for your ombré brow to heal to see final results.

DAY 1

  • Eyebrows are approximately 30-40% darker than expected healed results
  • All clients will have some redness and swelling after the procedure

DAY 2-4

  • Swelling & redness subsides
  • Your ombré brows will appear darker due to scab forming over the brows

DAY 7

  • Scabbing Begins

DAY 7-10

  • Scabs should be gone
  • Your brows will appear very light (This is completely normal)

WEEK 2 – 6

  • Ombré brows will begin to darken by day
  • True color will surface by the 4th week

If you are unsure of which style is best suitable for you, book any style for the time being. I will be discussing with you during the consultation on the day of your appointment.

Here are some post-procedure tips for eyebrow nanoblading:

  • After the procedure, keep your eyebrows clean and dry and then apply aftercare ointment provided by your nanoblading artist.
  • Avoid sweating, saunas, and hot baths for the first 7 days.
  • Don’t wear makeup around your eyebrows for at least a week.
  • Do not pick or scratch at your scabs

Typically ombre brows take two sessions to achieve a perfect result. The client has to wait between 4-8 weeks between each session.

Since ombre pigments and technique are not implanted into the skin as deep as traditional tattoos, your brows will naturally fade over time. Ombré brow results can last anywhere between 1 – 2 years depending on skin type, lifestyle, your age and how often you get touch-ups.

Your skincare routine will also have an effect on the longevity of the pigment. Clients who use chemical peels, products with AHA or Glycolic Acid will fade faster as your skin will resurface faster.

Most clients say little or no pain. If you have highly sensitive skin, a strong topical anesthetic during the procedure to keep you comfortable.

During your 2nd session, I will go over the shading that I had applied during your 1st session to I deposit more ink to extend the longevity. Additional shading may also be added if you would like to adjust the colour of your brows.

For all PMU brows, it will take 2 sessions to complete your desired brows to ensure longevity. Just like when you apply nail polish, you need least 2-3 coats to achieve a solid color.
